CINNUG is hosting it’s third Firestarter event on Saturday, October 17th at the Microsoft office in Mason, OH (near Cincinnati). If you haven’t touched ASP.NET MVC but want to lean more about it then this is the event for you. The event will cover an overview of ASP.NET MVC, how you can do test drive development with it, how to mix in JQuery and how ASP.NET MVC can be hosted on the Azure Platform.

Jim Holmes (Author, father, developer and community leader extraordinaire) and some regional speakers are putting together a Software Engineering 101 event in Columbus on September 23, 2009. They don’t have a registration page up yet, but look for one soon to be announced by Jim. This should be a really good event. Getting down to the basics of what software engineering actually is, and good ways of doing it is always refreshing.
