Don’t forget that CINNUG will be hosting an ASP.NET MVC Firestarter event on Saturday, October 17th at the Microsoft Office in Mason, OH. If you haven’t already registered you can do so at https://www.clicktoattend.com/invitation.aspx?code=140750.
You can find out more about the event on the CINNUG website blog at : http://cinnug.org/blog/archive/2009/10/04/reminder-asp-net-mvc-firestarter-event-on-oct-17th.aspx.
Once again we have set up a nerd dinner for the night before the event. The dinner will on Friday, October 16th at Dewey’s pizza in West Chester starting around 6:30 PM.
I spent most of today with my head down coding trying to complete some changes to a report for my client and I wasn’t paying a whole lot of attention to my email. It wasn’t until very late in the day that I noticed I had an email from the MVP program congratulating me on being awarded an MVP in Client App Dev. Woot! The first person I wanted to tell was my wife, who I couldn’t reach, so I spent most of the rest of the day happy as a clam (even if I was working with database stuff) and coding away.
Next week I was slated to speak at three different user groups in Tennessee (Memphis, Tri-Cities and Knoxville), but due to some health issues I will be unable to go. I was really looking forward to the trip because it was going to be like a mini-vacation for me: time to travel, think and enjoy meeting new people. Sadly, it will have to wait for another time.
For those of you in the groups I was planning to attend, I do apologize for having to cancel.
