Cloud Camp in Cincinnati on June 3rd

What the heck is a Cloud Camp? Is it like Boot Camp? Clown Camp? Scout Camp? Well, none of those things actually. It’s more like open spaces and lightning talks combined. Cloud Camps are being thrown all over the world and you can find out more about Cloud Camps in general at http://www.cloudcamp.org. “CloudCamp is an unconference where early adopters of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. Bug in Visual Studio 2010 for Floating Windows & Tabs

One of the new features of Visual Studio 2010 is that you can pull a code window out of the IDE to move to another monitor. I find it funny that a lot of people seem to think that this is the first version of studio to support multi-monitor development, but that’s not true. Quite a while ago I blogged about using multiple monitors for developing with Visual Studio 2008. The new feature is actually doing this with a Code window, but lots of windows have been detachable like this for some time.

Do you ClipName ?

Have you heard of ClipName? ClipName is a tool that I use almost daily. I install it on EVERY machine I own. It’s in my base VM install that I use for development. I have it on so many machines that I often forget that it doesn’t ship with the OS. Are you starting to get the picture of how useful I find this utility? I even had a post in 2007 indicating how happy I was that ClipName worked on Vista.
