Chronicles of Riddick
This wasn’t on my list of “must see” movies for the summer, but as a sci-fi action flick I thought it was worth a try. I saw this on Wednesday night with my brother.
The movie is more or less a sequel to Pitch Black, which I saw at the drive in a few years back. Basically, the main character, Riddick, is the stereo-typical hard core criminal. He’s a killing machine, wanting pretty heavily by pretty much every star system.
This is just cool stuff. Toshiba has a prototype fuel cell that will power an MP3 player for about 20 hours per refill.
This type of technology just amazes me. Moving to cleaner and more efficient methods of power will help reduce the size of our devices, make the more affordable, and safer for the environment. I’m all for more of this type of research. I aslo like the idea of having cleaner power for automobiles, though I think it will be a while before we are all using Hydrogen cars
My wife and I are off for a trip to the United Kingdom! She has traveled out of the country many times (Europe, Caribbean, India, etc.) while I have only been out of the country twice (both times to the Bahamas). Since she is much more traveled than I she graciously allowed me to pick the destination of our first out of country vacation (minus the Bahamas for our honeymoon). My first (unspoken) choice was Australia, but it just costs to much to get there in my opinion.
