SWEET! I read about this a bit yesterday via the “Don” of COM.
I didn’t think much of it since when I went to the website, pretty much all I got was that it was recently assimilated….I mean purchased …. by Microsoft. This morning I saw that it had appeared on the Microsoft Download Center feed (RSS). I downloaded it and installed it. It created an index of all the contents of my PST (including all the blog posts from my aggregator since I use NewsGator!
It looks like Microsoft has an MVP site where they list all the MVPs with a little bio. Do I know this guy? He looks familiar!
Looks like someone has created a Pocket PC virus. But don’t worry, it’s not destructive. Appearently there is a group of people writing viruses to exploit different OSs just as a proof of concept. I assume so that security as a whole will be increased. They sent the code to anti-virus companies and did not release it in the wild. But, as the article says, you can probably expect these devices to become targets.
