My wife had recently read the short stories that spawned this movie, so as soon as the trailers started for it a few months back we were set to see it. “I, Robot” is set in our future (2035 to be exact) when robots are integrated into our lives. They perform all sorts of tasks for us, like garbage collection, walking dogs, baby sitters, etc. They are considered excellent resources and pretty much everyone trusts them to do their jobs.
I’m not sure how new this is, but I just came across it in a MSDN Flash newsletter. Microsoft has created a MSDN Product Feedback Center that will be used to allow developers to see the latest bug lists, add bugs they have found, and provide suggestions to MS about developer products. It looks like they are starting with the VS.Net 2005 and .Net Framework 2.0, but have plans to expand to other products as well.
Okay, this is just wrong. First off, I never understood the lure of writing viruses. But then again, I never understood the need to destroy your own neighborhood to stage a riot…I mean protest either. Someone has written a virus and has posted it to newsgroups trying to pass it off as photos of a hung Osama Bin Laden. Here’s the low down on the BBC.
I happened to see this on a few newsgroups and the fact that it was posted to so many newsgroups tipped me off that it wasn’t what it claimed to be.
