Google has announced the Corporate Search Engine. A nice, server rack mountable yellow box that will spider your internal network and googlize it for searching. Of course, security is an issue here to protect documents that are just lying around on machines that would be dredged up and a link slapped on it. Interesting idea though….maybe if my employer would get this I could find the info on that HR policy I’ve been looking for that is buried in about ten different HR websites.
International Paper has a few open positions for developers and a technical architect. You can check out the Monster listings. Make sure to reply quickly as I think one of the developer positions has already been taken.
There is a MSDN Event this Thursday at the Radisson in Northern KY (the round tower hotel near the I75 bridge). Any Microsoft developer in the Cincinnati area should take a look at list of topics and see if they are interested. If so, sign up for it! There will be four session (two long ones, and two short ones) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. They will be presented by Bill Steele from Microsoft Consulting Services.
