As I just posted, I have gotten a new job. While I was looking I had about five interviews (well, contacts with five companies anyway….some had multiple interviews). Out of those four I got three offers for employment, turned down by one as I didn’t fit their needs, and the other one said I was over qualified for what they wanted. I’m pretty happy with the outcome in any event. Now, during those interview I was asked if I had any questions for the interviewer about the company, benefits, etc.
Here is a list of questions that I have put together when I was out looking for my new job. They are grouped together on how I would ask about them during an interview. I had this list on my tablet and would takes notes on the answers. If you use these questions, or have questions of your own, I’d HIGHLY suggest you take notes in your interviews of the answers that mean something to you.
I haven’t posted about this in the past, but I have been looking for a new job since about June. No real serious looking (i.e., trolling on Monster, etc.), but just keeping my eyes open to opportunities. Why was I looking? Well, it had to do with the company I was working for had been looking into outsourcing the IT department, including App Dev. Now, in August (or there about), it was announced that they wouldn’t outsource our group currently, but that the issue would be revisited within a year.
