Well, this morning I got my first comment Spam on the blog. I can’t believe people don’t have better things to do than sick some bot or manually go and deface other people’s web sites. sigh. Oh, well. .Text has that nice little delete feature for comments, so no harm done for the moment….but it was only one. I guess I’ll have to go look at the change to .Text that allows monitored feedback.
Tonight was CINNUG’s first meeting. I wasn’t able to go because it was also my two year wedding anniversary. As much as my wife is happy to let me revel in my geekdom, I think skipping out on dinner with her for a user’s group meeting would have been pushing it. :) Hopefully one of the attendees will blog about the presentation. James Avery was going to give a presentation on Mono.
I don’t read many of the Star Wars novels, but this one just jumped out at me. Shatterpoint, by Matthew Woodring Stover, is a novel set during the Clone Wars (aka, between Episode II and Episode III). The book’s main character is Mace Windu, the Jedi Master played by Samuel L. Jackson in the movies. Windu gets pulled to this jungle planet to investigate a massacre that may have been perpetrated by his once padawan learner Depa.
