Scott has mentioned on his blog that Enterprise Library should be available for download by this afternoon. He will post links on his blog site when it becomes available. He also mentions that in order to download you will have to register. He states they would like to get an idea of the people who are downloading the bits. Hopefully the registration process won’t be too drawn out.
While you’re waiting for the download to be available you can still check out the GotDotNet space where the docs have been posted.
Want to find ways of tweaking the IDE? James Avery has put together a book on just that. It has a lot of good stuff in it from what I can tell and seems like it will be a good book for newer developers as well as people who have been using VS.Net for a while. The focus is on the IDE rather than development, but some segways are made into how to create VS.
Microsoft’s Enterprise Library is supposed to be released tomorrow on MSDN. This package should be a good base of core components to plug into your .Net applications to help speed development and provide consistency. Having been exposed to the ACA.Net framework (Avanade’s predecessor to the EntLib) I can say that there is some really good stuff in there.
